Probate and estates

When someone has died we provide a sympathetic service and aim to deal with the administration of the estate as efficiently as possible.

In cases where a Will has been made we can be appointed by the executors of the Will to collect the assets and administer the estate. Where there is no Will we can be instructed by the surviving relatives who will be entitled to apply to have themselves appointed by the court as the Personal Representatives

In all cases it is usual for a Grant of Probate (where a Will was made) or Letters of Administration (where no Will was made) to be obtained before we are able to administer the assets of the estate.

Sometimes a dispute will arise in relation to an estate - perhaps a query over the capacity of the testator when the Will was made or over the testator's failure to make suitable provision for a dependent. We can represent you to bring or to defend a claim.

We can help in the administration of all estates. Contact us on 01823 351122 or by e-mailing an enquiry.
